

Hugo Morales

Biography:
(b. 1961 in Guayaquil, Ecuador) – Hugo W. Morales a proud Rotarian, is a prolific artist who has created and exhibited a vast body of work on various themes over the past 35 years.
Mr. Morales’ work has been shown at the William Musto Gallery/Museum Newark Museum of Art, the Monmouth Museum, the Human Rights Institute Gallery of Kean University, Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, Lima, Peru, Harold B. Lemmerman Gallery of New Jersey, Performing Arts Center Gallery, UMDNJ’s Robert Wood Johnson Gallery, Sumei Mutidisciplinary Art Center, and the Nabisco/Kraft Gallery. His graphic designs and photographs have appeared in numerous educational journals, books, and commercial publications.
Honored by the Sate of New Jersey Senate, the County of Hudson for his work as an artist, civic leader, and promoter of Latin American cultures, Mr. Morales has also been the recipient of the Equinox Gold Medal from La Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana, NJ, The Ecuadorian-American Chamber of Commerce and the City of Union City, NJ for his paintings and contributions to the arts, He has exhibited at the Counsel General of Ecuador of New Jersey and Pennsylvania and his graphic designs have been recognized by the Association of Graphic Communication.
For more than three decades, he has coordinated many cultural events, and has curated art exhibits of works that range from the Pre-Columbian to the contemporary period.
Mr. Morales holds both a master of arts degree in art education and a bachelor of fine arts degree. Mr. Morales is the founder and creative director for Arte‘ Design and Marketing Solutions LLC. Mr. Morales’ cultural interests have been greatly enriched by his extensive travels throughout Latin America and his work has been greatly influenced by these experiences.
