Via his exhilarating surreal-expressionist style, Costa Rican artist, Fernando Goldoni in his painting Change Melts an Ideal furnishes or symbolizes essentially "the winds of change," winds of explosion(s), of blasts, which fade and melt the stars, as well as the structure of America's stripes, accurately signifying "The New Americans:" who are all Immigrants, all refugees, all hard workers, all voluntary witnesses, all observers, all dancers, singers, voices, lovers, aliens and All-Americans.

Goldoni's image is an announced premonition (a prophecy), which alerts, warns, and presages the Red, White, and Blue colored sirens chanting within the West wind. All of this whirlwind of hues and gestures denote a decomposing process, which necessitates an ability ("a power") to adapt to a never ending transformation.

This image of the Flag ("Old Glory") was executed in 2002. Ultimately, this canvas will contain a language of transformation pertaining to the last 10 years.
